Landscape Image Comparison

After taking a trip to Hyalite Canyon last month, I brought back several shots I really liked, but this one has to be my favorite, so I'm experimenting with different techniques.  So then, here are two resulting photos for comparison:

Bozeman 35th Annual Christmas Stroll

Christmas time is here, and in Bozeman the start of the festivities is an evening in downtown known as the "Christmas Stroll".  Kids get to meet Santa Claus, adults get to go from store to store, and many city programs and local attractions have booths set up to give the general public information about the winter season.  To top it off, the downtown main street section is decorated with trees and lights.  The following are a few images taken after dark, please enjoy!

Hyalite Canyon in Winter

There's something about a narrow canyon in winter that brings out some interesting subjects to photograph.  This particular canyon, Hyalite Canyon, is located just south of Bozeman, MT.  Hyalite Creek runs from a lake high in the mountains (located about 7,000 feet in the air) and drops down to about 4,800 feet in only a few miles.  In between, especially in winter, is the most beautiful, almost fairy tale-like scenery and is about as close to a Bob Ross painting as you'll find in the real world.  So let's look at some happy little photos!
